When thirst arrives
Thirst rarely announces itself. It can be a dry mouth, a yawn, a reach for the kettle.
Some people find that what feels like hunger, or a mid-afternoon slump, is sometimes just thirst.
What is yours asking for right now?
What you'll need
- A glass of water within reach
- A normal day to watch
Method
Next time you feel hungry between meals, or your energy dips, pause before you reach for a snack.
Notice where the signal sits. A dry mouth, a thick throat, a restless urge to eat.
Have a sip of water first, and see whether the feeling settles.
Give it a week of these small pauses, and notice whether what you read as hunger was sometimes thirst, or turns up somewhere you hadn't connected to it.
