What the mind leaves out
Share
Life is inclusive. Only your mind is exclusive.
What you'll need
- A few quiet minutes somewhere ordinary: a bench, a window, a busy street
- A moment you catch yourself sorting things into mine and not-mine
Method
Sit somewhere ordinary and just watch what's around you for a minute.
Notice where your mind draws a line: this is mine, that isn't; these are my people, those aren't. You don't have to move the line. Just see it.
Try it for a week, a few minutes at a time, and notice whether the lines feel as fixed as they did, or whether they soften the more you watch.
