In the yogic view, a plate that leans fresh leaves the body lighter and more agile. Some people find that too. And some research suggests eating more fresh fruit and vegetables may lift energy and mood over a couple of weeks.

What you'll need

  • Fruit and veg you actually like, raw or barely cooked
  • About two-fifths of the plate
  • An honest read on how your body feels after

Method

At a meal or two each day, fill about two-fifths of the plate with fresh fruit or vegetables.

Keep them raw or lightly cooked, so they stay fresh and bright.

Let the rest of the plate be whatever it usually is.

Give it a week or two, and notice whether you feel lighter, and more awake through the afternoons.
